Getting your fundraiser published in the new media

Contact editors of the local and national news media. These are usually interested in placing news regarding fundraisers.

Every fundraiser has a story to tell that is newsworthy. It's often thought that 'my story is not interesting enough'. That is certainly not true! The news media is always looking for content. It's a great way to get your fundraiser in the spotlight and you will reach a much larger audience than you can by only sharing with your own network.

I want to approach the news media with my fundraiser. How?

Approaching the news media with your campaign is a good idea! Generate publicity and contact the news media (local, regional and national / print, online, radio and TV)! They are usually very interested in placing fundraisers. If you manage to get your campaign published in an article, it will generate a lot of publicity and therefore more donations.

Editors' email addresses can usually be found on the websites of the media concerned. Usually in the colophon or on the contact page.

How can I add a media item to my campaign page?

It is not possible to add a news media item to your fundraiser page yourself. We have to post this manually. If there is an article you would like to see posted on your campaign page, please send us the link by email ([email protected]).
